Hello Clinicians and Students!

What is this Training?

Family CARS offers competency training addressing spirituality and religiosity in couples, families, and relationships.

If you are a student or clinician from any mental health field who wonder

  • What is the best way to handle tensions in families around religion/ spirituality?

  • How to address couples/families who have anxiety or feel stuck due to spiritual or existential concerns such as why such terrible things have happened to them?

  • What is the best practice to navigate with a family where they disagree on LGBT marriage, or spiritual practices, or religious values?

  • How can you help couples/families use their spiritual resources towards family goals and flourishing?

  • What are the ethical limitations of my competency addressing spiritual concerns?

  • And More!

There are 5 modules of training that focus on

  • Exploring Personal Cultural Comfort with Diverse Religion and Spirituality in Couples and Families
